“I have viewed your DVD in its entirety for the purpose of aligning it with our forth grade Sunshine State Standards. In addition to being aligned with SS.A. 1.2.2 and SS.A. 6.2.1 -6, I found it to be delightfully entertaining and educational. I am very pleased that our principals have made it a part of our supplemental curriculum.” – Cheryl Mae Brinson, NBCT/Ed.S, Director of Assessment/Curriculum Specialist, Suwanee District Schools

“I just want to take a moment to recommend an extraordinary performer who recently presented an outstanding program at Bushnell Public Library. The enjoyable performance was rich in Florida history, educational, and entertaining. I am still getting requests every week to have Butch come back to Bushnell. We will bring him back!” – Tina Franzen-Andes, Manager, Bushnell Public Library

“I will be delighted to share your work with Social Studies teachers! In fact, I am scheduled to meet personally with the department chair. We would need 45 copies for middle schools where we teach Florida History explicitly.” – Laurie Cotton, Program Planner Secondary Social Studies, Division of K-12 Curriculum, School District of Palm Beach County

“I recommend Butch Harrison for the Florida Folk Heritage Award. He is a storyteller with a message about “Old Florida”, especially the Everglades area. Butch both entertains and educates as he speaks to groups of all ages. He has performed in schools, before civic groups, and at festivals around the state. He is a truly worthy candidate for this honor,” – Patrick D. Smith, Author of A Land Remembered and recipient of numerous honors and awards.

There simply isn’t enough I can say about Butch Harrison, a true Florida Cracker. Butch has really made an impact on our guests at the Gaylord Palms. We appreciate everything he has done for us as well as the contribution he has made to Florida as a whole. Butch truly is a great Floridian and state treasure. He encompasses a spirit and a fire that defines the Florida Folk Heritage Award.” – Aaron Mendleson, Director of Entertainment, Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center

“You were a huge hit with the fourth grade students. Your presentation and stories of Florida and the Everglades allowed our students to understand Florida history. Students sat through your presentation in rapped silence as you pulled the items from your croaker sack. Everyone loved the “cracker” whip and the different skins from the animals. Your visit was a great success! Please leave a spot on your calendar for a visit to Central Avenue next year! – Teresa Nichols, Central Avenue Elementary School, Osceola County School District

“Butch Harrison probably knows the true history of Florida better than anyone alive today. In his latest DVD, Butch Harrison Florida Cracker Storyteller, Butch educates and entertains with colorful stories authentically depicting Florida’s earliest pioneers and how they lived, survived and settled in Florida’s sometimes harsh environment. Butch is a master story-teller. His DVD is well produced, educational, entertaining, and just plain good-old fun. Sit back and enjoy, and experience the stories of the real Florida, the only way they should be told – by a real Florida Cracker.” – Bobby Cornwell, President, Florida Association of RV Parks and Campgrounds

“I commend you in your commitment to preserving Florida’s natural beauty.
